Out of the choices you listed here, I would choose Grand Lido Brao in a heartbeat, but for a week at Grand Lido you are talking about $1600/person and for that amount of money I would choose Sandals Negril over Braco though Braco would be second choice. Breezes Runaway Bay and Sandals Inn are much cheaper running around $1100/person. Of these two I would choose Breezes if I was looking for an active vacation as they have many activities including golf, snorkeling, sailing, etc. Sandals Inn unlike the others Sandals is much smaller and does not have onsite activities and the beach is across the street. If you want more romantic though, you can't beat Sandals Inn.

Just returned from GLBraco (6/20/01). This resort is very nice, one hour from Airport (you can be on the beach by 1:00pm), food good, entertainment excellent, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Beach is long and white. Resort is situated on the windy side of island so water sports are not permitted a portion of the time due to choppy waters. Have also been to Grand Lido San Souci (Feb 2001) and found that resort to have exceptional food, entertainment. However beach is very very rocky (water shoes required) and the sand is mixed with dirt. Beach is small too. We had some problems with our room (A/C did not work, mildew, few towels/soap). Sandals Inn is too small and too close to the airport (planes take off/land throughout the day). Went to Sandals Negril in Feb 2000 and found problems with food (ran out of many menu items, bar items, etc.), staff not very accommodating/friendly, and property is unkept. The Negril Beach is beautiful though! As for a Sandals resort - I would recommend Sandals Dunns River (visited in Jan 1999). We had no complaints about this resort. Food, staff, pool, accommodations, etc are fabulous. The beach is a little small though. Good luck.

Addition to above message. We paid $2300 (two people) for 6 days/5 nights OceanView room at GL Braco (6/15-6/20). This also included insurance ($50/pp) AND the Jamaica departure tax ($27/pp). You have to look for the Air Jamaica/Super Clubs specials where you save 35-40% off regular prices.

"Jamaisa Regular" Did that $2300/couple for Grand Lido Braco inlude airfare? I also noticed that you only stayed 5 nights. Fares I have looked at are about $3100/ouple inluding airfare for 6 nights/7days, but this is oceanview room not beachfront. Is this a good deal or how an I get a better one?

We too have been looking for a better
deal to Braco. The best I could come up with is $3400.00 per couple. Maybe Jamaica Regular could give us some tips on "How To Get A Better Deal".PLEASE.
Thanks.

I have been to Grand Lido San Souci and am going to Braco in a few weeks. The best prices bar none I could find were from www.allthewaytravel.com
I tried them all for quotes and this was the best. I NEVER book the lowest category room though so my price gomparison to what your would be is apples to oranges.
There is tons of Lido info at this site

Just want to let you know I am not a travel agent nor do I know any.
