Summer trip
 

Looking for a good destination for a summer vacation in the Caribbean. We like nice beaches and good food with some land based activities as well. Perhaps some history or architecture, natural attractions, etc

We've been to PR, St. Martin, St. Barth's and Aruba. Looking for something new on this trip and considering Curacao as from what I've read and heard it meets much of the criteria we are seeking. We aren't interested in a place with just an abundance of beach activities where our time is mostly spent in a resort or place that doesn't easily lend itself to experiencing some local culture. Aruba has great beaches but it is too Americanized for what we are seeking.

Any thoughts about Curacao or any other ideas?

We've also been to Anguilla- left that out above- gorgeous beaches for sure!
