Suggestions for accomodations for 4 - Aruba, Turks and Caicos
My husband and I and our two children - late teens are looking for suggestions for an island vacation. We are interested in a suite with at least one bedroom, if not two preferably on the beach. We are thinking maybe Aruba or Turks and Caicos or maybe the cayman islands. We like the beach and also water sports. I have been reading reviews and see mixed reviews on the all-inclusives in Aruba. Appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

I wouldn't go AI in Aruba since there's lots of reasonably priced food. We love the Radisson and have stayed there many times. However, it just got renovated and I think the prices may have gone up substantially. That being said, I think it's got one of the best stretches of beach in the hotel area since it's not as windy as other places, much wider, and not wall to wall people.
My husband and I visited Turks and Caicos for the first time in November and loved it. It has one of the most gorgeous long beaches I've ever seen. But... it's very, very quiet. And is one of the most expensive islands in the Caribbean, as is Grand Cayman. We stayed at West Bay Club, a gorgeous condo on the quieter end of Grace Bay Beach. Not sure my kids, who are 20 and 23 would like it so much, since it's not got a lot going on other than water sports and that amazing beach. But if that's enough for your kids and you have the budget for it, it is a beautiful place!! |
We love Aruba & have found very nice 2 Bedroom condos (timeshares) at
www.redweek.com We stay at Marriott Ocean Club. Agree w/ Weadles. Don't do AI in Aruba. Lots of good restaurants. |
Hyatt Palm Eagle beach Aruba best for me check reviews.

qwo, I like Hyatt but the one on Palm Beach in Aruba does not have balconies...only Juliet balconies. Does not matter if you do not want to sit out on your balcony. But we do.

Hyatt Aruba typically costs more than The Radisson, which is expensive enough! Plus, it has a narrower beach that is- in season- extremely crowded.
We have also stayed at THe Marriott Ocean Club and liked the accommodations, but the beach area not so much for some of the same reasons above. |
