Suggest a Caribbean vacation for us!
I hope someone can help us! We're planning a short getaway (4-5 nights in April or late March) and have been overwhelmed by choices in the Caribbean. We are a married couple early 30's, no kids, like beaches, dislike large crowds, not big partiers... but would enjoy some night life, like hiking and nature, would prefer not to rent a car for the entire stay, like good restaurants and really want to spend less than $3000 if possible. Barbados looked nice, we've heard good things about St. John and some of the island outpost resorts in Jamaica looked good (but expensive!). Any suggestions? Thanks!

Jennifer, you are describing my favorite island in the Carribean, a small family island in the Bahamas called Harbour Island.
There are several nice places to stay, great food, amazing beach, great snorkling, 2 dive shops or just sit on the beach and do nothing but watch the sun set.
Try the www.where2stay.com board for lots more ideas. You will find info on islands, hotels and lots of pictures and rates.
Our FAV hotel is Runaway Hill Club on Harbour Island, only 10 rooms and the food is the best on island.
Hope this helps some, let me know if you need any more info.

Aruba is the place for you-beaches are great, weather is almost always perfect, and you can do as much or as little as you want. I would suggest the Wyndam hotel for its location and ammenities- also usually a good value. You may contact me for more info>
