We are going to Couples Ochos Rios and want the fastest drive from the airport to the hotel (don't have to use the hotel shuttle).

Also, can anyone tell me about the closest golf course and what it's like? I heard it was uptown, but can't find any info. on it.

You can take the helocopter to Ocho Rios and I know Sandals Dunns River has a golf course.

Private copter service out of Ochie available, if pricey. Get a private
driver/van/2 hours drive, if your budget more limited, and put your money
on playing White Witch/Ritz Carlton's
course outside MoBay towards Ocho Rios
or Tryall on Round Hill side of MoBay
opposite. Sandals and Beaches courses
leave much to be desired if you're an
avid golfer. Greens/caddy fees at White Witch and Tryal run about US$175 and up, plus caddy tips and taxes.

Do you remember how much the helicopter ride was for 2 people? Also, had either of you heard about Uptown golf course?

I totally agree with Tiverton...
White Witch and Tryall courses are much better than Sandals any day. No comparison! The view at the Club House at the White Witch is amazing!
You can do lunch there-make sure you try the Red Peas Soup!
If you're driving, it's pretty much one road from Mobay to Ochie. Standard time is about 2 hours. If you go really fast you probably could make it in 1 1/2 hour.
How fast you get there depends on how fast you're driving!
I've never done the heli ride. But That should be fun. The view you'd get should be pretty interesting.

By the way, it's not "Ochos Rios". It's "Ocho Rios" usually shortened to Ochie by the locals.
