St Thomas- romantic restaurant suggestions?
 

My husband and I are spending our 5th wedding anniversary in St. Thomas and I am looking for some restaurant recommendations. I would like something romantic with great views. Maybe one night we would splurge, but would love suggestions for other places with great views/atmosphere that aren't as pricey. Thanks in advance!

Herve-pricey but worth it.

havana blue at the marriott is spectacular especially at sunset. huge billowy curtains surround giant open windows. you can hear the sea from window side tables. the food is asian/carib fusion and delicious. definetly very romantic atmosphere. here are some links to info, reviews etc. :

Robert's Restaurant in the Elysian resort is a very nice place right on the water with excellent service and a great menu.Or try the Mafolie up in the hills with a wonderful view of the harbor.

other meals during your stay - the blue moon cafe at secret harbor resort is wonderful. dining ON the beach, 20 feet from the sea. nice for lunch, dinner or apps/drinks. http://www.bluemooncafevi.com/

if we knew where you were staying it might be easier to recommend places for other than "the big night"

Thanks for all the input virginia! We are staying at the Ritz. What part of the island is that considered?

The Ritz is East End and the closest dining is Robert's at the Elysian (sorta next door) and Secret Harbour just a bit up the road.
Havana Blue is at the Marriott on the way into Town and Herve is on Gov't Hill in Town. Malfolie is above town and someone mentioned Agave Terrace which is at Point Pleasant also on the East End - ask for a table at the rail when calling for reservations.
There are other places in Red Hook (only a few minutes drive away) such as Molly Malone's, Whale of a Tale, Caribbean Saloon, East End Cafe (Italian) and the new Cellar next door. There is another thread here about splitting STT and STJ and it talks about restaurants as well.

the ritz is lovely. their pool is really pretty with infinity edge looking over the beach towards st. john and several other islands.
the ritz has a gorgeous sailboat - the lady lynsey - a cocktail/sunset cruise might be romantic. (<if only i could have clued your dh to this so he could surprise you)
haven't had dinner at ritz but we went to the sunday brunch once and WOW bacon and eggs to caviar and sliced baron of beef, sushi, fruit, fabulous desserts. yum! big$ oh and mimosas.

there is a fun bar in the parking lot in red hook called duffy's love shack.

if you snorkel try the beach at secret harbor or wyndham sugar bay.

includes the baths, snorkeling, lunch at pussers and swim to the beach for drinks at soggy dollar - home of the painkiller!! boat is a reconfigured cigarette boat and you'll get to go all the way around tortolla and get a quick glance at most of the bvis. book asap if you wish to go on this trip as only take a dozen ppl & fill up months ahead.

Mim's is a nice little place right next to Bolongo Bay with excellent food and patio dining over looking the water. Just another option to consider.

From the Ritz on St Thomas, I would
head to the Agave Terrace at Point
Pleasant.

You will not be disappointed.
