St Martin/St Maarten BEWARE of car rental agencies even NATIONAL/ALAMO

Jump to last reply

Be warned that even a reputable agency (ie National/Alamo) will take advantage of you when renting a car and the customer service in the US will not support you when you file a dispute against the claim. I was cautious because I read the warnings and I took pictures of my 5 year vehicle that had numerous scratches, dents and nasty interior. They still got me! I recommend you video the entire car AND write down EVERY dent and scratch on the tiny car picture they give you. Also, I would recommend that you do not tell them where you are staying. I honestly, would not put it past them to damage the vehicle while parked at night. They charged my card $275 two weeks after I got home. It really added a spoiler to my mood following a great trip.
