St. Martin to St. Bart to Anguilla?

Clearly I am all over the place with ideas for our anniversary trip this June! Now I am looking into flying into SXM and then splitting time between Anguilla and St. Bart. I think it makes the most sense to take the Voyager from SXM to St. Bart first (looks like 120 euros for 2 adults) and spend a couple of nights there. What is the best way to get from St. Bart to Anguilla? I'd like to avoid going back through SXM again if possible. Any ideas?

I might be wrong but I think the only way to get from St. Barts directly to Anguilla without going through SXM is to charter a private boat. I know that you can charter a boat for the day and go from Anguilla to St. Barts so I'm assuming you can do the same from St. Barts. You might also be able to charter a small plane but the boat is probably a lot cheaper. We've rented boats for the day in Anguilla and St. Martin before but I don't remember how much they are.

sharona is correct - there's no scheduled flights or ferries between SBH and AXA. You must either connect through SXM or go by private charter. Either way the private charters will be expensive - figure around $1,000US for a small plane and around $600US for a boat. FYI - the boat ride will be long and could be very "bumpy" since you'd be crossing lots of open water.

We have done this a couple of times & going back thru SXM is no big deal. We flew from St Barts to SXM (10 minute flight) & took a ferry to Anguilla (25-30 minutes & some leave from right across from the airport). It's easy.

if you are going to fly, i recommend you do anguilla to st barth first, and then on to st martin, because if your flights from anguilla to st martin is delayed there are always later flights scheduled from st martin to st barts, the reverse, however is not true.
If you plan to take the Voyager, they have boats both from Marigot and from Oyster Pond. You can take the public ferry from Anguilla to Marigot, and take the Marigot to St. Barth Voyager without the added taxi charges.
However, once you really put it all together, its almost the same to fly, and much faster and less...bumpy.

We sometimes take the ferry as a backup...pack a little Dramamine just in case and pop one in the cab on the ride over.
