St Marteen or St Martin - 1 week is good?

Jump to last reply

Hello fellow travellers!

I have been reading plenty about St Marteen vs St Martin.

How is the nightlife in the French side, like non existent? I dont want to take long taxi rides to Dutch side if French nightlife slim.

How are the downtown areas of each?

-1 Week is good?

We are going in December: its is me, im in my early 40s single dad, my 6 year old son, my sister in her late 30's and my parents in their late 70's. My dad cant walk too long

I have been looking for this:

-An authentic cultural identity to the island we pick
-Beautiful white sand beach
-Good nightlife
-Decent walking around downtown/shopping/restaurants/have a drink
-Good snorkeling
-Excursions
-All inclusive with fun big pool for my son

Based om budget, coming from Atlanta, I was initially considering Nassau but my gut tells me Im gonna thinks its too Disney.

Also considering Aruba, and thats still in the running...but....why not St Martin/Marteen instead of Aruba?

Fyi, we have been to DR, Mexico, PR, and Jamaica.

:)

Thank you!

Sebastian
