St. Lucia Airfare

I'm hoping to get some advice regarding about what to expect to spend to fly to St. Lucia from the Washington, DC area (inc. BWI, DCA, and IAD) to St. Lucia in September 2002. I've been watching the fares, and they don't seem to be moving much. Should I expect them to drop as hurricane season approaches or am I better off booking now? Greatly appreciate your help!

Actually, if you book a package with Air Jamaica Vacations or another Tour Operator there is a sale going on right now. 35% off. I doubt the rates will drop much more.

Does the vacation package include lodging? Its a bareboat charter trip, so we won't need lodging, etc, just airfare. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

This past August my husband and I got round trip airfare to STL for $189 each. Got it through Apple Vacations which does fly out of DC. You may want to check with your travel agent. You do take your chances getting delayed with a charter flight but we had no problems this time around and it was definitely a bargain.

Often, Airfare and Min Nts hotel is cheaper than air only. A good Travel Agent will be able to help. Also there are charters out of some cities that are lower.

Thanks, I'll do some checking into those options. I don't get to go this time, just my husband and his dad on a father-son sail trip, so he doesn't want to spend a bunch if he doesn't have to. Thanks again - Amy
