thanks for posting these pics. i've not yet been anywhere with such dark sand, and enjoyed this opportunity to take a look at stkitts. how lucky for your friend to live on the island.

what's this about using aloe on your hair? how exactly are you using it? mine is long but seems so dry these days.

Not sure about the aloe, but my hair is naturally curly (groan) and the best conditioner that I have found is the conditioner in the Garnier Nutrisse (sp) color kit. I throw out the color and that conditioner is excellent. I have spent $$ at major salons and that is the best $7 I've spent, even with throwing the color away!
My friend, who has fine hair, says that it doesn't work for her.
Thought I would chime in.

Using aloe in your hair is very common in the Caribbean, especially with rasafarians. They put it on their scalp to make it soft.
