St kitts/Nevis or St Lucia????

ok can someone help me out,my family of 4 kids are 15yrs and 11yrs. We like all-inclusives and pretty water and beaches and my kids need some sports like volleyball, basketball, pool, ping pong, videos plus the usual snorkeling and watersports and a good choice of restaurants. So which island would be better becauses we have been to others. Mariott in st kitts, windjammer in St Lucia or Four seasons in Nevis. I am wondering if these places are under-populated because my husband likes to people watch and my kids would have fun meeting people. Please help me

Four Seasons, Nevis is not All Inclusive although the do offer a meal plan (warning it it is very pricey compared to the other two resorts you are contemplating. St. Kitts Marriott also is not AI but does offer a meal plan. If you opt for the meal plan at either place you will still have to pay for drinks. You will also find some pretty good restarants on Nevis (better than on St. Kitts IMO - hard to comment on St. Lucia since it's been a while that I've been there). Can't comment on video games, ping pong, etc. because at my age I'm long past that but check the web-sites for each of the hotels you are considering for more information. Marriott-St. Kitts, being the newest would probably have the most of what your kids are looking for but basketball is not very popular in the Caribbean so you might not ind it anywhere. You'll encounter the most people at St. Kitts Marriott (it's the largest of the 3 resorts). St. Lucia is difficult to get around without a rental car so many people rarely venture "off-resort" so if meeting people outside your hotel is important to you consider a different island. Snorkeling is almost non-existent by the Four Seasons and below average at best anywhere on Nevis. you can can take a day sail to Shitten Bay off of neighboring St. Kitts for decent snorkeling. ST. Kitts offers only avearage snorkeling so all in all you'll find better snorkeling on St. Lucia. Hope this helps.

Tomschick,
From that criteria you've given I'm not sure St. Kitts/Nevis or St. Lucia are really what you are looking for.
What about Aruba? You'll certainly find the all-inclusives, beaches, kids activities and restaurants.

Hi, Tomschick. We stayed at the Windjammer last winter. There were lots of children when we were there. There is plenty for them to do. My 8 year-old son had such a blast he wants to go back this year. The resort is fairly large, with the accommodations (villas) spread out in the hillside. Their kids club also offer for the older children day trips outside the resort. The food in all four of their restaurants is very good, with a good variety to please everyone in addition to the beach grill that serves hotdogs, hamburgers and sandwiches. They also have a teen room with videos, ping pong, etc.

St. Lucia is beautiful and while difficult to get around on your own, there is a ton of stuff to do around the island. Good snorkeling also. Alot of cruise ships go here also, so there are plenty of people-watching activities in Castries where they dock and have the shopping markets. Friendly people. Not pristine white beaches, brown sand (there's a volcano you can drive to). Very mountainous and gorgeous. I'll throw out another suggestion though--Beaches Resort in Turks & Caicos (Providenciales). Beaches is very family oriented and is on a beautiful white sand beach and has a great snorkeling spot within walking distance. Only drawback--not alot to do off property. But I can attest to a large amount of activities for kids on site. Good luck.
