St Kitt
I am looking into a trip to St. Kitt. Is anyone familiar with Sugar Bay Resort or Royal St kItts Casino. Also is anyone familiar with Sky Auction.com and it's reliability.Thanks

People use Sky Auction all the time with good results - just be sure you understand the bidding rules, etc. Type "Sky Auction" in the search block to bring up posts discussing the topic.
Both the "resorts" you mentioned have been around in one form or another for many years. They are not 4 or 5 star properties by any means but are decent places to stay for the budget minded traveller.
Remember the first rule of travelling - "You get what you pay for" - don't expect to find 5-star luxuary for 3-star prices.

I would suggest Timothy Beach over both those resorts

I've used Sky Auction a few times before and I've stayed at Sugar Bay once, but I didn't book it through SkyAuction. The auction site I've always found reliable. The one time I wasn't able to confirm availability for an auction I'd won, they refunded me promptly.
Sugar Bay was, for us, a good value and we went into the experience with our eyes wide open. We never book AI and generally don't like large resorts at all, but we wanted to get away last minute over the Thanksgiving holidays a few years ago and we found a package for Sugar Bay that was so reasonable we jumped on it. If you click on my username, it will take you to my profile where you can find my Sugar Bay/St. Kitts trip report, which is pretty long.
I agree that the Timothy Beach Resort is a nicer location on the water, but Sugar Bay also has a beach on the Atlantic side that is nice for walking. I'm personally happy that I didn't stay at Timothy Beach because South Frigate Bay, where it's located, loads up cheek by jowl with beach chairs & umbrellas every day when cruise ships are in port. I dislike crowds, so it wasn't my scene, but if you like being in the middle of things, it would suit you better than Sugar Bay.

You'd need a rental car or taxi to get around St.Kitts. There are also local buses.
A ferry service runs regularly between the two islands.

Lots of responders on this forum have stayed at the Marriott on St. Kitts. If you type in "St. Kitts Marriott" in the search feature you'll find hundreds of posts telling you everything you could ever want to know.
Now to answer your other questions:
The easiest way to get around the island is to rent a car. You can also use taxis but the cost will mount up quickly and if you take 2 or more round trips a day in a taxi to almost anywhere on the island you'll spend more in cab fares than the cost of a rental car. Golf carts are not available as a means of transportation.
St. Kitts and Nevis are about 2 miles apart at their nearest point. You can easily travel between the two islands by ferry for a day trip, in fact many tourist do this during their stay. The ferries run 7 days a week and depart/arrive at varying times each day. The trip takes about 45 minutes and costs about $9US/PP each way. The concierge at your hotel can give you the current ferry schedule. The passenger ferry dock is about a 10 minute drive from the Marriott.

As a point of clarification on the local busses mentioned by sassy_cat - while there are local busses traversing parts of the island they DO NOT regularily travel in the vacinity of the Marriott Hotel (where persumably JerseySue is planning to stay) so they would not be a viable means of tansportation for tourists stayng in that area.

Is there any decent nightlife for 2 outgoing women in their 40's? We love a beautiful beach. And I love some more adventurous activities during the day -- hiking, zip lining, also sightseeing, etc. But we both do enjoy nightlife.
Would we find any here, because the islands sound beautiful!

Regarding nightlife - what time of year will you be going? It makes a difference. High Season you'll find live entertainment at some of the beach bars several times a week. During the off season there's less people on the island so naturally fewer places will be open late into the evenings (or not open at all) and there won't be as many offering entertainment. The casinos are open all year, if that fits your definition of nightlife.
St. Kitts is not noted for nightlife like you find in such places as Aruba, Cancun, Playa del Carmen, St. Martin but it's not a "dead zone" either
