St. Johns Villa Help

Hey guys, I've hugely appreciated your help and expertise in the past, but I have a new question. I am looking for a villa in St. Johns for June 2005. I am looking to spend around $3,000 to $5,000 per week for the place. I want it to be private (its my honeymooon), and beautiful. Those are really my 2 requirements. Thanks again.

This place looks outstanding

and it's in your price range for that time of year

Hi Briana,

We adore... sshhhhh... Beit Hawa... managed by cateredto.com

We viewed the red roofed beauty mentioned in the previous post from across Hart Bay.

If you want something a little simpler, yet lovely and private check out this gem. It's not posh, but simply simple and lovely. I very much enjoyed the privacy of clothing optional on our decks... yes, take your pick.

We loved staying here... it was a very special time for us.

Happy planning.

briana,

If not having a pool, hot tub, and a large living space is ok- I would spend my honeymoon at http://www.gibneyvillas.com/beach_cottage.htm

Here's one to consider. Villa Ventosa, on the hills above Coral Bay:

You guys have been fantastic. All of those suggestions look great. Crowisland--Have you stayed at beach cottage? Is it as romantic as it looks in the pictures? Keep the suggestions coming!

briana let me know when you make a decision. just curious to see which villa you end up at

the gibney beach cottage has another cottage pretty close by. It may not offer enough seclusion for a honeymoon

briana,

I have not stayed at Gibneys but wish I could find a reason to spend the $$ to! I'm almost positive you can rent it for $3500 during the off season. Hubby and I peaked at it last year when we went to Gibney beach. The Beach is GORGEOUS! It was in last month's issue of "Caribbean" magazine. You may not have tons of privacy during the day- but the Gibney Beach entrance only has enough parking space for 4-5 cars so thats usually the maximum number of people on the beach. I can guarantee that it is one of the extremely few places on Gorgeous St. John that you can stay on the beach (a famed northshore beach) and be pretty much alone in paradise. The only downside seems to be that the beach house is very small. Happy Hunting!

For the past 2 years we've stayed for a week at Kallaloo, also managed by cateredto.com. It has beautiful views, its own pool, and is directly across the street from Hawksnest Bay, which is a beautiful, fairly secluded beach. There is a cottage across the driveway, Terrahawk, which is also nice but smaller and no pool. Its far enough away that you never have to see the other people, we never saw anyone there the whole week. Its also only about a 10 minute drive from town which is great for evenings out and I believe its one of the few villas actually in the national park.
