We have booked St John Livin villa in Coral Bay. It is fairly new (early 2006) and is reasonably priced. Check bookitvi.com. It is quite simple, but for 2 people it seems to have everything that you would need. Good luck with your planning! amtw

We were there earlier this month and stayed at Coral and Blue. The weekly rate for high season is $1800.00. It's a really nice place and is a good value for the money. You can get information at www.stjohnvi.net. Don, the host, was very helpful with all the questions we had.

Places to eat in St John; You have to try Tage, Asolare, Ten Tables, ZoZos and Rhumlines. We enjoyed them very much. Remember dinner is not cheap in St John

Ok, definitley eat at 10 Tables but whatever you do DON"T eat at Chilly Billy's - it is truly awful!

The restaurant operates as Chilly BIlly's (yuk) during the day then 10 Tables at night - totally different owners and experiences.

We ate at Chilly Billys and my partner was poisoned by the eggs (we think) and spent 24hrs totally ill. It was hideaous. Chilly Billy's is like the low class McDonalds for breakfast on the island so if you want really crappy food and service go to Chilly Billy's.

However, let me say, after dark there is a very different picture, it is owned by a totally different couple by night and is very different. The food is fantastic and the service is wonderful. So my advice is, don't go there during the day but book in for dinner. Fine dining is what 10 Table is all about, that's what we experienced, with a lovely casual atmosphere overlooking St Thomas.

We tried many restaurants on St John and thought 10 Tables was the best.
