St John’s or Turks
 

We are 2 single women looking for a week in Jan or Feb for a week in the sun. We are hoping for an Airbnb or VRBO rental, close to a beach. We are looking at either St. John’s or Turks and Caicos. Any recommendations or thoughts?

At that time of year Turks and Caicos will not be as warm at St. John since it is north of the US Virgin Islands. If you plan on doing swimming, I'd go with the US Virgin Islands.

If you mean St John, USVI, due to the National Park there are few places near a beach. Typically, you would rent a vehicle to drive to various beaches during your stay.
