St. John in November
 

We are thinking of spending our honeymoon on St. John. Can you say CLUELESS? It sounds like Caneel Bay is pricey, wondering if there is an affordable way to visit. If not, any suggestions on alertantive locations would be appreciated.

Go to st-john.com and you should be able to find all you need to know. Caneel *is* pricey, and very beautiful, but if you look around, you should be able to find something for about $150/night that is very nice. You might want to try the Westin. It's very pretty. Or, you migh want to look into St. Thomas. It's a short 20 minute, $3 ferry ride from St John, and it is more built up, hence more competition between hotels and lower prices. Try Bluebeard's Beach Club and Villas. Good prices, right on the beach. Close to everything. Been hearing good things about it. Might want to try a site called where2stay.com They always have good info. good luck

St. John in November is a perfect place to be or any other time. Try www.destinationstjohn.com or 1-800-562-1901 and talk to Laura or John. I have rented from the for the past 4 years and all the houses have been great. You will find alot of the rental companies have the same houses (very small island). Tell Laura or John, Greg S. sent you, won't get you a discount but I am trying to send business their way.

We (2 couples) are also going in November. Staying at a villa which I found at the following site: caribbeanvilla.com Go to their site as they have many villas. We wanted pool and access to water yet we are close to Cruz Bay (4miles). Where you are on your honeymoon you may want more privacy than can be had at a hotel. Check out the prices. We plan to bring some non-perishables with us. St. John is lovely and St. Thomas only a short ferry ride away for daytripping or grocery shopping. <BR>Hopefully you will get a few more responses although most so far very informative.
