St. John Book

Hi All,

I have the 'Off The Beaten Track' guide, but can anyone recommend any other books to read? I am very excited as this will be our first trip to St. John and I love reading up on a place as much as possible before we visit.

Thanks for the help,

Stephanie

I loved "Off the Beaten Track" too but "St John, Feet, Fins and Four Wheel Drive" is even better. We used both of them every day. Also we bought the map that they sell in the National Park Headquarters in Cruz Bay. It was very useful!
I too love to read up on a place before I go, that's why these forums are so addictive. Feel free to email me if you have any questions!
Mary Beth

I agree with reading both of those books. They're great! I would be surprised if there are any others as good. Enjoy your trip!

Donna

Thank you so much for the info! I really appreciate it :)

What time of the year have you been to St. John? We are looking at going the last week in November and I'm wondering if I should still be concerned about hurricanes?

There really isn't a "bad" time of year for the USVI. Just be aware that Novemeber is still hurricane season. Trip insurance is inexpensive but well worth it should something weather related get in the way of your travel.
