St. James Club or Galley Bay?
 

Deciding for a honeymoon between the two. Will be doing the all-inclusive plan.<BR>Wondering how the food is at both, which is better, along with beach & pools?<BR>How is the casino at the St. James?<BR>thanks

For a honeymoon do NOT pick St James Club. It is very run down. We thought it seemed unbelievably cheap but it wasn't- it was just cheap. You get what you pay for. Sorry to give disappointing news!

Frank,<BR>can you ellaborate please? Seems like a blind comment almost? Did you stay there at St. James? What was rundown about it? Pools, food?<BR>

since writing my initial reply I have researched more recent reviews to see if things have changed- perhaps they have as some really enjoyed their stay. ( We stayed there 2 years ago)Our experience was that the rooms were disappointing- clean but small and a little shabby. The three restaurants never all seemed to be open at the same time. Food there was so-so although you could obviously pay extra for some things on the menu. THere are 2 beaches but only one was really up to much( may have been the time of year though).Staff were friendly and there were plenty of activities. Can't comment on the casino as its not my scene. When we booked we expected a 4 stars hotel but found an ok 2 or 3 star one. However I have to emphasise that this is probably reflected in the price. CAn't comment on Galley Bay although I do know that it is quite quiet and certainly looked a much nicer place.
