St. Croix
 

My husband and I are looking at possibly St. Croix for our 40th anniversary. We like to snorkel and relax of course check out islands. Has anyone ever stayed at a personal condo through VRBO rather than a big resort? Its called Sea Dreams has good reviews, close to Freriksted. We are open to any other island but prefer a US one . Our concerns are the safety also of course. We are looking at the month of April. Open to any suggestions or opinions for our vacation including another island instead? Thank You.

You should go to St John, not St Croix. Many villa and condo options. Excellent off-beach snorkeling.

Look at The Buccaneer on St Croix. It's a resort, but not a big high-rise all-inclusive place. It's laidback, family-owned, and beautifully kept.

Lots of choices for lodging there.
