St. Barths - Pricey or Outragously Expensive?

Jump to last reply

My fiance and I are planning our honeymoon. Although St. Barts seems to have everything we want - small resorts, beautiful beaches, little commercialism..., we are concerned about how everyone comments on how expensive the island is. We are looking to have a nice honeymoon, however we just bought a house and are putting our money into that.
We were looking at villas that seem affordable off season (we are going in July). Is it true that we can plan to spend $20 for a salad a lunch? Are there any moderately priced restaurants? We aren't lobster and cavier people. Please tell me we can visit this paradise without breaking the bank! Thank you for your help!
