Somerset
I have decided to go to T&C in late April and would love to stay at the Somerset. However, for the price, I can probably afford a studio unit in the Stirling house. Does anyone have any pictures or comments on this? Also, other suggestions for lodging would be appreciated too! Thanks.

I stayed at the Somerset last summer. It is beautiful. The Stirling House was not completed when we were there so we stayed in one of the other units which are spectacular. Another very nice place is Point Grace. Enjoy.

Can you compare the Somerset and Palms? If Price is not the issue.. Is point Grace further away?
|
Point Grace is about a 10-15 minute walk from The Palms and The Sommerset. The Palms is much busier. The Sommerset is quieter and absolutely beautiful. The Sommerset does not have a spa (at least it did not last summer). If money is not an issue my choice is The Sommerset.

Somerset shares the spa with the Palms I was told. You can charge to your room. We stayed at Turks and Caicos Club but loved the restaurant at Somerset.

Hi JCG - I just returned yesterday (sniffle) from a week long stay at the Somerset. We stayed at a friend's residence in the English Cottages for the week, and we thoroughly enjoyed the entire stay. The beach is awesome and not very crowded. The Somerset is not as crowded as the neighboring resorts, which is great for the beach. It's definitely one of the best on Grace Bay, so go for it!

lizzie,
We have 2 kids and are deciding about Somerset vs Palms-what do you think. Our kids are not kidsclub goes since they are 10 & 7. We want a relaxing upscale vacation-with a Hawaii like crowd. Thanks |
I've not been to Hawaii, so I can't really compare. The Somerset is pretty upscale, and there was a fair contingent of families with kids. The beaches at the Somerset and the Palms are both great, but I would give the edge to the Somerset b/c it's not as crowded. I'm not much help, but I don't hink you'll go wrong with either.
