Snorkling in St. Thomas?

Does anyone know where the best place to snorkle is in ST. Thomas?

Thanks.

We snorkeled at Coki Beach, Sapphire Beach, and Secret Harbour. Coki was the best but it attracts hordes of cruise ship people. If you go very early in the morning it's great.

Secret Harbour was the least crowded, and very calm. Sapphire (where we stayed) was medium busy and had bigger waves than the other two locations.

Take the ferry over to Water Island - nobody goes there!

we love Coki beach. We stroll over there from our family condo early in the morning. You can find the cruise ship schedules and adjust your time accordingly.

For a great day of snorkeling, I would recommend that you go out on one of the small yachts out of the American Yacht Harbor in Red Hook. The Winifred is my favorite. Captain Sharon Allen takes a maximum of 6 people to St. John to some beaches that are only accessible by boat.
