Snorkel site in Caymans
Doing Grand Cayman on a cruise in 2 weeks. We booked a stingray tour for 2 hours. After that, we'd like to do some snorkeling from a beach or rocks. We are very experienced and have our own equipment. Could someone suggest a few good sites/locations?

Edens Rock is supposed to be very good snorkeling. Just south of Georgetown which would be good if you are pressed for time. Check out this link. Even though its for shore dives, most are pretty shallow for snorkeling. (Edens Rock is no. 4) Just returned myself from Cayman on Monday. Have a great time!,1106,4-1-1-3228-101-101,FF.html
Drive north on Seven Mile Beach past all the resorts. When you see a cemetary on your left side, park and walk to the beach on the path at the north end of the cemetary. Just offshore to the north is a nice little reef called, appropriately, Cemetary Reef. You can see it from the beach. Not too far out. Great snorkeling. Bring a can of cheese whiz to feed the fish.
Enjoy!
If you want a nice place to snorkel right off the beach without having to swim out, Smith's Cove is really nice ... just south of the Seven Mile Beach area.

If you are coming from a cruise, the easiest area would be Eden's Rock -its right in town where they reload you back onto the boats, and the snorkeling is GREAT! we go there every year, and unless the water is very rough, the snorkeling is fantastic- the fish are beautiful!
good luck and have fun!
