Small resorts with best views

Anyone know which small resorts in the Caribbean/Atlantic have the best dramatic views? Beaches are important as is personalized, casual but elegant service. Looking for resorts with under 100 rooms. Nice beaches. Friendly atmosphere. Relaxing but elegant.

Depends how you categorise a great view.

To me the most gorgeous views are those from mountainside inns (Strawberry Hill, for example).

But if you want a beach too... well, I may be biased, but the view at The Reef is pretty nice :)

Bosco, your criteria gets harder and harder to match. Dramatic views are not usually found on a resort with a great beach. You usually have to trade off one for the other. Your best bets still are Biras Creek and Curtain Bluff.

The Meridian Club on Pine Cay comes to mind - I haven't been there but my travel agent has been twice and raves. ONly has 12 rooms and the view is of nothing but white sand. www.meridianclub.com

LeToiny on St. Barts. 12 rooms, each with private pool overlooking what may be the Caribbean's best views...
Very elegant. All of St. Barts is casual no ties here---beaches topfree.

Spectacular views from the Sugar Mill Hotel in Tortola--just voted one of the best resorts in the Caribbean by readers of Travel & Leisure. The plantation suites and villas are really spacious--we stayed in a plantation suite. You can see other islands from their property and from the small beach.
Cuisine is excellent (sugarmillhotel.com). Information on Tortola at Fodor's and b-v-i.com.
Only drawback is you really need to rent a jeep to drive to Cane Garden Bay for the day--beach at a beautiful setting with restaurants and plenty of chaises and lounges to rent.
