skinny dipping

Okay...so how many of you have done this while on vacation in the Caribbean? We tried once in Aruba but the water was too cold for us at night. This was in the ocean, not the pool, BTW.

The French islands have nude beaches, so you can have the warmer daytimes for skinny dipping.

Yep - on Jost van Dyke - full moon - got caught out unexpectedly by some late night gentleman guests, but they said it made their night!

Once at the Barcelo Maya in the Mayan Riviera. It was in the morning (daylight) and no one else was on that desolated part of their private long cove of beach. It is not like that anymore because of two new resorts there now :(. It was the first time for me and it was wonderful. I can understand why people like to swim nude. 8-) and hopefully, I can get a chance again. :)

yup. provo in front of the villa we rented. usually at night, but we did go once in the day time and did get stuck (not a bad thing) in the water while a couple walked by - don't think they even suspected.
by the by - why do we call it "skinny dipping" ???

Kristen1206 Jul 18th, 2006 09:20 AM

Blamona...if you are blushing that means you have done it!!

Virginia...good question..why do they call it skinny dipping? anyone know?

There's a great secluded beach in Antigua that's part of the Hawksbill all-inclusive resort. It's called "Beach 4"--sanctioned and patrolled for safety clothing optional. Very few people took advantage while we were there, mainly delightful Brits. For an 80 yard beach, I'd say there were an average of 6-8 people during mid-day each day.

Remember back a long tme ago when Orient BEach on St Martin was still virtually undeveloped....(probably 15-20 yrs ago).?

That's when we stayed at Club Orient.

On a private island excursion in Turks and Caicos Grace Bay area and when we went to St Martin and were on Orient beach.

Every chance I get, as long as I'm not positioned to give offense to anybody. I really like the Beach #4 at hawksbill in Antigua. And then there was the private picnic drop off on our honeymoon at Guana. And then just recently in our villa pool, both by day and under over of darkness. At no time was it too cold!

Uh...yep. South of Tulum on the Mayan Riviera -- the beach stretches for miles and some parts are relatively unpopulated. So what could my friends and I do but take off our suits and play in the surf? What a great feeling!
