single woman and traveling alone-Where to go?

HI-

I am in mid 30's and looking for a relaxing beach vacation for a week end of feb-beginning of March.

I am looking for a gorgeous beach-during the day just like to relax and read and swim.
At night, looking for excellent restaurants within walking distance or short cab ride that I will feel safe going by myself.
I'm not really into a party or club scene. Its more about relaxing for this trip!!
The hotel itself I am looking for something a little luxurious but not ridiculous. I have some $$$ to spend, but not crazy amounts.
I have been to Aruba (Tara Beach Suites), Puerto Rico (Westin Rio Mar, Dorado, Isle Verde), Nevis (Four Seasons), Canouan Island (Raffles), just to give you an idea of places I have been and liked.

Any suggestions to go or stay away from are welcome.

Thanks in advance for your help!!

I just got back from a week on Anguilla. Take a look at the Frangipani. It's on a gorgeous beach, and the Straw Hat, which is a great restaurant, is on the property. You can also walk down the beach to Jacala and Blanchard's for dinners. I was with my mom, and we never once felt unsafe. Oliver's is another fabulous restaurant that is just a short cab ride away. Have a great trip!

I don't think you would be doing much swimming on Harbour Island (Pink Sands) in late February/early March- lovely place but the water could still be very chilly then. I think the suggestions farther to the south are more what you are looking for at that time of the year.

Check out Barbados for sure. There are plenty of excellent beaches for relaxing and plenty of nice accommodation in areas on the beach or near the beach and a stone's throw away from restaraunts. Checkout, The Hilton, Rostrevor Hotel, Blue Dolphin in on the south coast for instance.
