single mom 41 and daughter 22 looking for fun vacation

Where would my daughter and i go for both of us to have fun and meet single people? Looking to go in January 2003. Cruise or all inclusive?

Hi Michelle,
I don't know about the cruise, but two all inclusive hotels that cater for singles are La Source Grenada and Jolly Beach Resort Antigua.

Both hotels are different as La Source is more upscale;four poster beds,a la carte dining, top shelf liquor, daily soa treatments, scuba diving...you get the picture.

Jolly Beach is a three star resort that is an excellent value for the money. It's alot of fun, good food, single rooms, daily activites and so on.

In terms of activities outside the hotel,Antigua has much more to offer than Grenada and they have fantastic beaches.

Both islands are untouched by commercialism which is great!

Look into it.

If you are both hot, you can stay at my private villa in Anguilla. I'm right on the beach, and love to party.

Thand anon, We have been to Antigua before for 1 day on a cruise and we loved it. Jolly Beach seems like the way we are going to go. Thanks for your help.

Capt. Caribbean: No thanks!

Hi! I took my daughter for a cruise for her 21 birthday. She is now 28 and we still talk about the fun we had. She had all the attention she could want and ole Mom didn't do so badly herself. The net result was that I became friends with one of the crew and now live and work in St. Croix US Virgin Islands. The advantage to a cruise is that you will get to sample a number of different places which you might want to visit later. There is also plenty to do on board. We went Carnival on the advise of my travel agent because they are party ships. Had so much fun I went again less then a year later with a girlfriend of mine. And who knows you might even find yourself living in Paradise gotta tell you it is pretty great.

Linda, thank you for your reply. Jessica and I did go on a Royal Carribean cruise last December and I did meet a crew member who is from Turkey. He invited us on the next criuse ship that he was on last March. We had a wonderful time. I really thought he was the one. Now his ex wants to try and fit back into his life. I doubt that I will ever hear from him again. I will definately think about Carnival as well. I know that cruising is the beat deal for your money.

So that is why i think all inclusive may be better this time. It is a tough decision.

Anon thaks for your reply!! I haven't checked out the pictures yet but I will later and post a reply.

Thank you both so much for your help! I
