Single Golfer-Where to Go?

I would like to plan a golf week in the sun. Unfortunately I have no one to go with this year. I have played FS Nevis & Sandy Lane and although the golf was great, I think they would be lonely places for a single. I am looking at Casa del Campo and wonder if you can play there while staying at one of the nicer hotels in the area. Any other ideas where they might be some other singles playing golf?

Two suggestions for you -- Ritz Carlton Rose Hall (husband rates The White Witch as the best Caribbean course he has played but he hasn't played Teeth of the Dog yet). Although the Ritz can be full of families, it was one of the more "hopping" resorts we have stayed at. My husband always golfs as a single and has no problem being paired up. Another option -- Tierra Del Sol in Aruba is a very nice golf course and any one of the Aruba beach resorts is pretty active -- Aruba Marriott & Hyatt especially. He also really liked the course in St. Kitts and there's a large bustling Marriott there. I realize you might not be looking for large and bustling but I am trying to think of destinations where the golf is good and the resorts haven't been mostly couples.

I can't comment on the quality of the golf course, since my entire golfing experience is limited to a couple of lessons in high school gym (a long time ago) and one lesson last month, but in terms of being a solo traveler friendly destination with golf (greens fees and one or two lessons)included, you might want to look at the BodyHoliday at LeSport in St. Lucia. The resort has 30+ single occupancy rooms, so you definitely would find some others in your situation. One of the people I met on my trip there the last month (she was there herself) played golf. I believe that the resort put together the group.

You have to play Teeth of the Dog. Top 30 in the world, plus two other public courses and a private that are also terrific. I played Teeth and the Links about 8 years ago. (The course at Altos de Chavon had not gone in yet.) I loved the resort, the golf was one of the most memorable experiences I've ever had. Go to casa De Campo

Thanks for your help! I almost chose Casa de Campo but all the messages about stealing, even from safes, on this and other boards scared me. So I am going to the Ritz in Jamaica and can play the White Witch and maybe another one or two.
