Side trips from Negril

We've stayed at Grand Lido Negril several times and this time when we go in Dec 06 we'd like to explore off site. Any suggestions on boat, snorkel or land trips?

I highly recommend Talk of the Town tours http://www.talkofthetownnegril.com/ They offer some great land trips which include boating, snokeling, etc. I've been on many of their tours and had enjoyed them all especially Treasure Beach and YS Falls.

I would second the previous recommendations. And also suggest that you check out the recent trip report here by caribtraveler, who just returned from Negril with her family and posted lots of pictures of their various excursions with Talk of the Town. Great pics and great report!

To LiznJack - You'll end up doing all that there is to do if you're there for 5 days. Definitely eat at the Scotch Bonnet if you like jerk. I think it's the best restaurant there. Also, head over to Hedo (They have a one day pass that you can buy) and watch the sunset from that side of the island. They also have different activities and it's a bit more lively than GLN.

Hey Julie -- thanks for the ideas. We're definately going to check out Hedo for a night or two. We also might try out some of the nightclubs in Negril just for a change of pace. Can't wait until March! Have a great trip in December. Let us know how it goes, ok?
