No, we are not renting a car. We'll buy the week pass for the Gecko shuttle. We really don't like to drive in areas we are not familar with. I try to plan things that are within walking distance of our hotel and use the public transportation. We also like organized tours in order to see the Island.

DH's birthday is in May, which is always a good time to go to the Caribbean. We went to USVI last May.

What a coincidence, my birthday is in May and we were in the USVI last spring too. We rented a villa in Coral Bay, St John. I love St John. My favorite island so far. Hope to add TCI as a favorite. Did you rent a car in USVI? We rented a jeep and it was scary and fun at the same time.

We may use the Gecko on the days we don't have the jeep. My HB doesn't mind driving. Also it gives us some freedom to come and go as we please.

We stayed at the Wyndham Sugar Bay on St. Thomas. We did their AI plan. We took a day trip to St. John and a boat trip to the Bathes, Pussers and Jost Van Dyke in the BVI's. The driving in St. Thomas and St. John were quite scary. Like riding a mini roller coaster.

We were not all that impressed with USVI. I've been to St. Croix years ago. Of all the Islands we've been to, we like Cozumel, Grand Cayman and St. Lucia. We are hoping the beaches and snorkeling in T & C will be a lot like Grand Cayman.
