If you decide on VG, check out Little Dix Bay for a memorable lunch and a neat gift shop! If you haven't already check out their website, what an awesome property and beach. The whole day was fun exploring around, the Baths and LDB convinced us that we will return for a stay on the island. Have yourself a great trip, I am having post beach blues this week as we just returned from our trip....

Beachlover, that's an awesome idea. Do we need reservations for lunch, do you think?

Maggi,
I've never done exactly what you are trying to do but will give me tips on global day trips. We're very independent, rent villas, rent cars, etc but on a day excurision we might perhaps hire someone to take us around, many places its just great. Not sure how many in your group but consider that. Make your contacts if you can before you leave. Good luck and happy travels.

Maggi: VG is easy, when you get off the ferry, taxi's will ask if you need a ride. Tell him that you want to go around the island, (Don't miss seeing Savannah Bay, gorgeous!) then he can drop off at Little Dix Bay. Eat lunch, etc. From Little dix Bay, take a taxi to the Baths, hang out, then you can get a taxi back to the ferries. VG is beautiful!

Hi Maggi
Lots of great ideas for you to consider!
No, we did not have reservations. I would think they would not be needed for lunch.Actually, we went over with the idea of renting the car and figuring out the rest as we went! We knew we wanted time at the Baths, lunch, see the island on our own, and see some of the beaches. As Blamona said, as you get off the ferry you will be offered a taxi, or the rental car place we used was right there, few steps ahead. We did this in 2003.The rental office had maps and gave us enough directon that we really just enjoyed ourselves. So many ways to experience an island--hope you do have a great time!! Carol
