Should be try the Bougainvillea hotel in Barbados?

Considering a trip to Barbados in the next few months. Wondering if the water is rough at the Bougainvillea Hotel and how the hotel is in general. Any other recommendations welcome. Would like to be able to snorkel near hotel.

That place burned to the ground in a worker riot/revolt two weeks ago. They lynched the General Manager in public. Stay away from Barbados...the crime rate is skyrocketing!!!

Thanks for the information. Obviously my travel agent doesn't know this. Pretty scary!

We have stayed at Bougainvillea Beach several times .... wonderful resort. There are waves there, but the beach is beautiful.

For perfectly calm water try Sandy Beach which is located near St. Lawrence Gap.

That posting by Hugh is totally FALSE. He should be barred from posting here.

I am living in Barbados, but you can believe # 1 told you a lie! Here are no riots and nothing burned down and our crimerate is the lowest in the Caribbean! You can believe me you are still safe here! For watersports is the West Coast better - we have there lovely Katamaran Tours with snorkeling and Turtle feeding!
