Shopping in St. Lucia

My fiance and I are going to spend our honeymoon in November in St. Lucia. While there we are hoping to find some good deals on Cartier wristwatches. Does anyone have any recommendations for any jewelery/watch stores in St. Lucia? What about any neighboring islands (e.g. Martinique, Barbados)? Thanks for your help!

We have always shopped at Caribbean Emerald when we are down in the islands. They have locations on a number of islands including St. Lucia & Barbados. I've never bought watches, but the gems are beautifully set and always remind me of my vacations.

Brett, there's only one place, which is a collection of stores in a mini-"mall", where the cruise ships dock at Castries (the capital). It has all the duty free goods you'd see anywhere else. Like many duty free stores, the prices aren't necessarily that great compared to sales prices in US or Canada. However, since it's one stop shopping, it can't hurt to take a look.

Mike

Hi Brett, we have just got back and we bought a couple of Tag Heuer watches from Point Seraphine duty free complex in Castries.
We did save a little, but not as much as we'd expected due to the weak pound!!
We were told that the prices were about the same as in the US,so don't expect great bargains.
We went to Columbian Emeralds, but there was another couple of shops there where we did see the new Cartier watches.

Does anyone have any opinions on whether it's worth taking a ferry to a neighboring island like Barbados for good deals on watches?
