Lots of changes since you were there! Manderiman (I assume that's the little bistro you were talking about) is about to build a carload of condos there (www.ownshoalbayeast.com); the little place on the other side of Uncle Ernie's is a very cool hotel now named Ku and the 1st thing they did was build a 75 foot bar on the beach with a restaurant and a little market with Internet access. They have bbq's on the beach, live music some nights, are open for dinner every night, and attract a nice crowd, even in the off-season.

The beach is still beautiful but not the quiet, undiscovered place you remember!

Oh, and Altamer closed.

And, Dion, the very talented chef at The Overlook, is in charge of the revamped Ku restaurant-Excellent! Plus, we enjoyed another new restaurant in Island Harbor-- Cote Mer. Zara's is another favorite.
