Selfish-Tobago More Please!
 

Budget couple looking for tips and hints to get by while in Tobago in Feb 98. We booked our hotel near Mt. Ivine already but want to explore rest of Tobago as cheap as possible and want to save our money for our one true passion: diving. Any two thumbs up on things to see and do? We are going in FEb and need info before that. Have a Merry Merry Christmas from My snowy Canada.

In my opinion, you are staying at the wrong end of the island for diving and sightseeing. Charlotteville is a much better place to be and to stay cheaply. Most of the boats take you up in that area to dive anyway. The tourists there are alot different and you don't get hassled. Rooms and food is inexpensive. We have been to Tobago 3 times and we only stay in Crown Point when we are at the airport.

We are goint ot Tobago at the ned of April, staying at the Kariwak Village. We plan to hire a car for 2 weeks, so I was wondering if you could recommend any places we should visit, we like sightseeing and snorkelling. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, Sonia

Do you know anything about Man O War Cottages? I am traveling alone and would appreciate any info you have. Do you think its better to stay in a more remote place or should I stay near the more populated areas and take buses from there? I don't plan on renting a car. Thank you.

Am glad to read that the Crown Point is still there. I stayed there in 1986 and I loved Tobago. Will never forget it. Anyone going to Tobago must go to Pigeon Point beach. Just wonderful.
