Seeking suggestions for a trip to the Caribbean.

My boyfriend and I are planning to take a weeklong romantic trip to the Caribbean beginning of May 2019.

Here’s what we are looking for:

-all inclusive (including meals & drinks) resort/hotel
-directly on (or very close to) the beach
-beautiful beach with fine white sand for romantic walks
-clear water that’s good for snorkeling and safe to swim in (we don’t surf and prefer small waves, but obviously Mother Nature gets to decide and we’ll make the best of it no matter what).

Would be great:
-ocean view room with balcony
-all-adult and/or spa resort with quiet spots to relax (without non-stop loud music and entertainment)
-good food with a nice variety (but we’re not picky eaters and we’ll be happy as long as we don’t get sick).

Obviously, some affordable vacation package would be ideal, but we’re willing to pay extra if it’s truly worth it. It’s a very special (“milestone”) vacation for us... ;-)

Any suggestion/tips/advice will be greatly appreciated!

Turks & Caicos except for affordability & AI
Antigua/Barbados/Grenada except for good snorkelling requirements & possibly affordability of the better AIs which have spas etc
Tobago except that it doesnt have lots of grand AI properties with spas etc
Mexico except water is not always very clear nor calm, esp around Cancun.
Aruba except AI is not common nor necessary/recommended
If you gave some indication of where you are flying from, it would help identify which islands you can actually get to and that would narrow down your choice.

It would help if you gave us some sort of budget. Most adult only resorts cost more than family friendly resorts.

Mayan Riviera (Caribbean coast of Mexico) has resorts that offer what your request. Look around Playa del Carmen or Isla Mujeres.

is a boutique hotel in Negril Jamaica which does not particularly fit your wish list but is very special so i mention it here
