We just returned from Secrets Excellence and had a fabulous time. Can't say enough about the great staff especially Kioman and Luciano who were so much fun at the dance lessons, disco & the shows every evening. Admittedly we hoped the winds would diminish each day so we could get some sailing and wind surfing in but all I could manage was one hour on a boogie board - those red flags were up every day...but we never ran out of things to do. Beautiful pool. The horseback ride was lots of fun - thanks schmerl for suggesting we sign up asap. There were a number of people very disappointed. Best restaurants for us were Quisqueya, Maria Bonita and the seafood. The service was excellent and the food quite good. Our major issue was the inconsistency of the housekeeping staff. Our room was not cleaned the same time every day nor were the towels, toiletries, or mini bar consistently replenished. A quick call to request whatever we needed was responded to but we didn't feel we should have had to place the call. Bicycling, billiards, archery, eating, drinking & just plain relaxing - what more could you ask for? I don't check this site often so if you have any specific questions,you can email me directly:
