Secret Harbour - USVI

Thinking of staying here with my family of older teenage boys. Like the idea of suites and the beach looks good. Has anyone stayed here and do they have TV - not that my wife and I care but sometimes late at night the boys may want it. Any info would be appreciated? Are familiar with the area.

Yes, they have TV. Great quiet beach with some of the best sunsets ever. Also, great snorkelling right off the beach. Great locale with Red Hook so close.

Michelle - when were you there last? We have a friend that came back from St. Thomas this past X-mas. They stayed in a villa that they would not necessarily recommend. The guy went running one day and went to look at this property and said it didn't look that great. He knows we are a little snobby when it comes to resorts, yet the Ritz Carlton did not get a great review. Would you truly recommend this as a somewhat upscale resort? Our kids are older and basically want a great beach, a nice unit, good restaurants at night and possibly a little music or bar action. Thanks.

I don't think Secret Harbor would be classified as "upscale". Alot of people, myself included, refer to it as comfortable, homey. Great space, but simple, no marble anywhere in sight. While their Blue Moon Cafe is a big hit - you can do a search on this board- it is pretty quiet overall.

It is a medium priced property on a great beach with a good dive shop. It is condo style and not new and certainly can't be compared to the new lux and lush Ritz Club. Whole different ballgame. Individual units vary as each is individually owned and it is one of the older condo properties on the island so no glitz or glamour. I will often say to people not to judge it by its appearance especially since coming into the property is not manicured or groomed. Good location near Red Hook with lots of choices for dining out on the east end of the island but modest, warm and friendly is a better description. Upscale you want to check the Ritz Club. There are some lovely homes for rent by the week on the island also.
