I also enjoyed your website. I especially enjoyed the PSV part. My husband and I were supposed to go there 11 years ago, but had to cancel at the last minute. With being pregnant and raising young kids, we haven't been able to make it there yet. I am still hoping to someday. I was interested to see more detailed information about PSV.

I also appreciate your balanced, thoughtful opinions on some of the thornier topics that come up on this board.

Glad y'all enjoyed my website - been writing those reviews (and updating them) since 1992 when we first went to the Caribbean.

PSV can be great for families as well as couples. There is plenty of beach for all (and a special very protected stretch of beach for children near the main pavilion). Haze and Lynn said that many families prefer to order dinner in their cottage since they then do not have to worry over getting the kids dressed and to dinner. Breakfast too!

The cottages are spaced out quite enough to where there is lots of privacy for all.

I read on a previous thread here that you are a webmaster for the resorts or some, you give reviews on. I am not web savvy and have been wondering just what a webmaster is and how do you become one? The mention of you being employed came up, and I am soooo curious of what this means? Is there any info that you can share on this subject?

I have enjoyed your website since I first started surfing the net! I have also followed your many updates! But
you have never done a report on your brief trip to Anguilla, Cap Juluca, or did I get the incorrect information. Please share all with us! Many thanks!

I've been doing travel reviews since the early 1990s (am a published Garden Writer since the late 1970s). One of the resorts saw scubamom.com back in 1997, also liked my review of their resort and asked if I could put the resort brochure online. Our son Jeff is a MAC and PC programmer and consultant so we started a very small website business in addition to his consulting business. I do some of the designing but son runs the servers and is the real "guru". It is more his business than mine since hubby and I try to get to the Caribbean as often as possible and keep discovering new resorts and places to write about.

We went to Cap Juluca in 1991 or 92 before it was completely finished and stayed in one of the lower Jr. Suites with the big two person French Soaking tub, the wonderful patio with a perfect flower lined view of the ocean, and had one of the most romantic vacations ever!

I did write a review and put it on early AOL and Compuserve Travel libraries, but when I started Scubamom.com, it had been quite a few years since our visit and we'd not been back since it was completed. So, I never put the review there.

We haven't yet been back but it is on our list of things to do! The suite was a mere $200 a night! (room and breakfast only). Needless to say, it's not really in our budget these days with the current rates.

But for those who truly want a perfect romantic vacation and enough restaurants to try a different one for every lunch and dinner during your stay, Cap Juluca and Anguilla cannot be beat!

That soaking tub and adjoining private sun deck was something else too. Well, the suite was really perfect in every way.

ScubaMom: Can I ask your personal opinion on something?
My husband and I are going to Peter Island 9/29-10/3 for our 5th wedding anniversary.
We're really torn about taking a day trip to the Baths.
A part of us just want to relax on Peter Island (we've worked a lot this summer).
But the other part does not want to regret not going.
However, it's not as if we'd never go. We'd probably go to Virgin Gorda in a year or two.
If our trip was longer, we wouldn't hesitate going but we're on Peter Island for only three full days.
What do you think?
Anybody else who wants to contribute, feel free to.

If I were you and had only three full days on Peter Island, I would stay put! The Baths will always be there, and as a traveler to Virgin Gorda, I feel they're a bit over-rated. But I know I'm in the minority on this. You could see if you could get a snorkel trip out to the Indians or Norman Island. I think the snorkeling there is much more interesting. Better yet, do "nothing" and enjoy yourself!!

I would also stay put on Peter Island. It's an absolutely gorgeous place!! The Baths can be over-rated - especially when the folks from the cruise ships show up, then it's just really crowded and not fun.

Happy Anniversary! I'm heading there on my honeymoon next year. :-)

A agree - stay on Peter Island! Visit other parts of the BVI another time.
