Scuba St. John advice?

I just won a roundtrip ticket to St. Thomas. I've always wanted to go to St. John though. I may going solo on this trip. I am looking for recommendations for inexpensive places to stay. I'm considering one of those campgrounds but not sure, although I like nature, I also like a shower and bathroom too! Anyone ever stayed there who can describe the conditions/conveniences there? Lastly, I'm planning on going diving nearly every day - any recommendations on dive operators or places that are conveniently located to good shore diving or snorkeling beaches? Also, if I stayed at a cabin/campground, where would I rinse and store my equipment?

a nice - no beautiful camp ground- is cinnamin bay camp ground. since it's in the national park, it's run by the feds.you can probably hook up w/ a dive opertion in cruz bay in st. john or in red hook, in st thomas. if you strike out w/ these suggestions, call the conceirge at caneel bay resort. even if you aren't staying there, they can be very helpful.

Check out the Low Key Watersports web page. Just returned from a week diving there. Had a great time.
