Scuba and beach

Any suggestions on areas/resorts with beautiful beaches and great scuba diving? My searches all seem to come up with one or the other, but not both. Looking for quiet, laid-back setting.

Virgin Gorda, BVI. Little Dix Bay, or rent a small apartment/villa. Dive BVI is a great!

Like anything else it depends where you go Grand Cayman is very laid back for the most part. North Seven Mile Beach, the East End, Rum Point are all very relaxed. There is great diving and snorkeling.

Agree with riley that BVI has better snorkeling than USVI. Love the Baths, but way more crowded than it used to be.

St. Croix. There are places where the Cane Bay Wall is less than 100 yards off shore, and you can swim out to a wall dive that starts about 40 feet down (and the wall drops to 3000 feet). Great beaches, really laid back. From the North Shore area you can either go out on shore dives, or there is a dive shop there that runs little zodiac boats that can get you out to more distant areas of the wall in five minutes.

BVI has some great dives, too, but they all involve dive boats (although if you can swing a catamaran charter that will let you dive right from the boat, they can mix that up pretty well with fabulous beaches, snorkeling and beach bars).
