SB: Weather in August
We are planning our Honeymoon for the first 2 weeks of August and would love to know how the weather really is in St. Barts from anyone who's been this time of year. If you can also suggest the best part of the island (and any great villas) to stay in, I would greatly appreciate it! We don't want to be too secluded, and do want to be close to the beach/restaurants. Thanks!

August is a great time in SB, temp like all year is 84 or so day --70's at night. The differece is that the
ocean is calmer than in winter. The Island is more European, no cruise ships---the pristine beaches are even less crowded. Since there is less wind it's better, esp then to be up a little higher and up of the beach so you have a little breeze.
Many consider Flamands the nicest part of SB. It's beautiful hills and the pretty beach is the Island's finest--white sand and no rocks, great swimming. It's walkable there as well to great snorkeling at the uninhabited bay of Colombier, a 20 min hike from Flamands Beach. There are fine restaurnats and a grocery store, bakery, and it's a 10 min drive to Gustavia or St. Jean--which are much busier.
We stay once or twice a year at a secluded hillside Villa, Flamands Blue, www.stbartsvilla.com, that we're told has lots of honeymooners as Guests. The views are beautiful and it's a short walk to the beach.
Other nice areas are Pt. Milou or Vitet (great views) but more isolated and not within walking distance to what you come for---the beach.
Have a great honeymoon!

Here's one villa that is near St. Jean Beach and is relatively inexpensive:
