Sans Souci Room Choice

I am going to SS this March and am wondering which block I should request -- I've heard E is a great location and G is noisy due its proximity to the bar... Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Just the opposite. E block is right next to the Ballon Bar while G block is the last and farthest block located on top of the cliff. Has the largest rooms and a neverending view.
Check out my report dated around Oct. 2003, I give a brief description of each block category.

I strongly suggest you get A or Block. G is too far from beach. A/B Block have new rooms and they are spacious, right across from beach and close to restaurants.

Our 1st time to (the former) GLSS, we stayed in bldg G. As Lisa said, it IS the last room block on the resort, but that's why we loved it too. It's on top of the cliff & the view from our room was just fantastic! The room was large & the balcony was large too. If we went back to our room before the entertainment ended @ the Balloon Bar, we could hear a little bit of music in the front of our room, but never in the back part (where our bedroom was).

Our 2nd time there we stayed in bldg B & we wished we had ended up in G again. The room was just fine (actually, more updated than our G room), but it was smaller, the balcony was smaller & the view was not nearly as pretty as up in G block. We thought the walk from G way down to the CO beach was definitely worth it!!

I would stay away from E & F since they are close to the bar/lobby area. I would also try to avoid C block since it's kind of tucked away behind D block & I don't think the views would be that great from there (& we talked to a couple who stayed in C & they didn't even have a balcony in their room).

Anyway, A & B are fine if you really don't like walking too much, but you can't beat the views from G !! (Of course, this all assumes that they will actually honor your request !! :-) )

Just got back. It was fantastic, although I was originally staying in E and had the room switched to D I found it to be perfect. There is a great deal of walking but that should not deter you. The resort is fabulous.
