Sands at Grace Bay---I have questions

Provo beaches are never what I would call crowded (except maybe the part of the beach in front of the Beaches Resort). The Grace Bay Beach (on which all the resorts are located) runs for about 16k - so if you want a little solitude just take a short walk along the beach. When I was there last ( a couple of years ago) the beach in front of the Sands was quite quiet.

I just booked my trip to the Sands for the end of April. My travel agent was saying that there wasn't much around on Grace Bay in terms of restaurants. She stayed at Beaches though. I was wondering if you could tell me where else you ate besides Hemingways and how far from the hotel? Can I get by without renting a car?

We just returned from Provo last week, and the beaches along the stretch from The Mansions, Point Grace, The Sands up to Beaches were nearly deserted. Many of the places were only half occupied.
By April or May, who knows?
Other restaurants you might try are:
Coyaba (Coral Gardens) excellent food, (the best on the island in my opinion),
Anacaona (Grace Bay Club), and Bella Luna (Across from Allegro). There are three less expensive places in the Ports of Call shopping center (across from Allegro): Lattitudes Tavern & Grill, Barefoot Cafe and Calico Jacks.
Enjoy your trip,
Bob
