Ok, first off if you stay at a Sandals Resort you have the privelage of visiting 3 resorts. This gives you plenty of options when it comes to dinner or just a change of atmosphere for the day. Any ?'s feel free to email me.

My husband and I were at the Grand St. Lucian in October for our anniversary. It is a wonderful resort. The food was great at the Grand, didn't like the food or service when we went over the the large other one.<BR>I love the island also, people and the mountains.

We stayed at Sandals Grande in St. Lucia and would not return. It wasn't worth the money and took too long to get there. Long flights and an hour and a half shuttle from the airport once you arrive. The drive was not particularly scenic except a few spots a long the way. We'll skip St. Lucia next time. Too many better places that are closer and easier to get to is our experience and opinion.

The above reply may be true about trip time but doesn't have to be. We live in NYC and the trip time is less than 5 hours IF you layover (you can get a short - 20-30min) in Puerto Rico. This takes you to the smaller airport which is only a 20 min. ride to the grande. We recently went to the Bahamas and it took that long from NYC b/c it was a last minute trip and we had a layover in Atlanta and then the ride to Paradise Island. So the trip is not too bad and the resort looks beautiful.

St Lucia is one of the most stunning islands in the Carribean, but in order to feel the true Island, please consider staying at a resort in the South Island. Ladera is an unbelievable experience of a life time, if you can accept something other than a traditional resort. But, I agree that if you just want a typical resort you can find anywhere, save the travel time. Cheers, Kelly
