I haven't been there yet, but I'm going end of October. In the research I've done, the only outside trips I'm really planning on are the Soufriere Day Sail and maybe going to Jump Up in Gros Islet on Friday night (although I've heard mixed opinions about it). I've heard there's also some decent shopping in Castries and a sunset cruise on the same boat they use for the day trip. Besides that, I'm plannin' on laying on the beach and hittin' the spa (oh...and getting married).

We stayed at Halcyon in May. At the excursion desk at the hotel they offer all kinds of tours, day sailing tours to the Pitons, jeep tours etc. We hired a van driver from Halcyon to tour us all around the island. This is a much better deal due to the fact each tour is around 60.00 or more pp. We got the van from 9:00a.m. till 6:00p.m. for 6 people it was 60.00 a couple. Don't miss the Pitons, breathtaking from a resort called Ladera. We ate lunch there. Have fun!

Just returned from Sandals St. Lucia - what a fabulous resort! It's very large and spread out and hilly but the staff and the pools, rooms, spa, etc., are wonderful. There's so much to do on property that you'll need a week to enjoy it all and get off-property too. Take a sunset cruise. I saw several other resorts while there and preferred Sandals St. Lucia for couples, by far. Any questions? Need to know which rooms are best, restaurants, etc.?

We are planning a honeymoon to Sandals in May, 1002. Is there any other transportation we can use to get around? Scooter, jeeps etc? Also our trip is planned uring Jazz Fest. Does anyone know what this means to what seems like a great place to go?

Randy, Did you mean 2001 for your honeymoon? If so, book it soon, if you haven't already, Sandals seems very popular in the spring. Remember they drive on the left, very fast and on narrow roads. There's so much to do on the resort you won't need to go off the property much. Have fun - Sandals is beautiful.

Cyndy,

We are getting ready to book shortly. What rooms do you reccomend?

Hi there.
We are considering a winter vacation in St. Lucia and are looking at the Sandal's resort. Interested in what you would consider the best rooms and why. Are you glad you did the all-inclusive or would you next time seek out a resort with out the all-inclusive option. How were the drinks? We have found that usually at all in-clusives the drinks are horrible.
Where did you fly into? Did you have a long ride to the hotel? Did you go to or hear anything about the waterfalls on the Island. Do you know if it is a must to book the sail to the Grenadines before going on our trip or can we do it after we arrive on the island?
Thank you in advance for any and all advice.
Sue
