Sandals Royal Bahamian

Husband & I are going to our 1st AI - I have seen some negative/bad mouthing of the Sandals Resorts. Just want to make sure we are making a good choice on the Royal Bahamian.

Sandals is the # 1 A-1 in the caribbean, sorta like a "chain", heavy and glossy advertising. There are and always will be pros and cons just because of the volume of people going. Most Sandals/Beaches properties are offering up to 50% discounts. Not bad with that discount, and then the vacation, if you decide to go, will be what YOU make of it. Sandals has alot to offer, some people swear by Sandals, some people go and will never return. Everything that Sandals offers is explained in their brochures, is it a good choice? With what they offer in activities and amenities and the discount, yes , will you have a good TIME?, that obviously varies from person to person according to the reviews you have seen. Hope yours is a good experience.

Lisa,
I booked my trip to a Sandals resort for my honeymoon and afterwards I started to read negative reports on Sandals. Needless to say I was extremely worried too. Once we arrived we had the time of our lives! It was also our first AI experience and it was a good one. If you go in thinking it's going to be bad, then it might turn out to be bad. I'm sure you will have a wonderful vacation. Everything is included once you get down there, so there are no worries and it will be a very relaxing and carefree vacation. I have heard that the Royal Bahamian is very nice so I'm sure you will have a spectacular time. After my first Sandals experience, I had nothing to complain about. That doesn't mean I'm not open to other options, but I would return to a Sandals resort.

My husband and I went to sandles Halcion in St. Lucia for our honeymoon and a had a fabulous time three years ago. So we are now planning a trip to the Sandals Royal Bahamain. The previous trip was about 90% honeymooners, but it was durring summer when most people get married. But if that wont bother you, the food, activities, and grounds are absolutely great. I would recommend going to a sandals to any of my friends who want a worry free vacation, with plenty of options of things to do.

My friend and her husband honeymooned at the Sandals Royal Bahamanian last summer. She is very picky but she came back raving about this property and the wonderful time she and her husband had there. I have also seen video footage of a wedding which was held there and the property, from the video, looked absolutely beautiful. I have heard that it is supposed to be the best out of all in the Sandals group. So, go with an open mind and have fun.

Sandals Bahamas is considered one of the top resorts in the Sandals chain - the grounds are beautiful. Beach is small but very calm waters and clear - there is a great beach on the off shore island that is terrific - very private and quiet as not alot of people go out there during the day. Two mainpools are huge and very impressive. Need to get chains there early in the morn as they go quick. Food was very good - excellent selection and the buffets offer everything from different meats and cheeses to pastries, hot and cold dishes, local cuisine, and tons of deserts - you will nto go hungry. There are also a number of theme nights as well. Good local entertainment in the courtyard each evening around diner time that was a nice way to start the evening. Disco always had a good crowd and there was always plenty to do during the day if you wanted. The resort has a nice casual elegance to it - not dressey but very comfortable.

Have a super trip!! Be sure to get over to see Atlantis (so cool!) and shopping is great!

Been to Bahamas many times with family, but more recently with my fiance to 2 Grand Lido's in Jamaica (actually leaving today for our wedding at GL Sans Souci!), and I would definitley recommend a Grand Lido in Jamiaca!

Jamaicans know how to treat their tourists - Bahamians just have a bad attitude every time I've been there.

The food and service at both GL's has been fantastic and there really is NO tipping. Never had any problems there. The cab drivers are happy to show you an out of the way place, or a local restaurant and will wait for you. Avoided all the tourist traps.

Grand Lido Braco is the newest and has beautiful rooms and buildings. GL Negril has the best beach. Sans Souci is noted for its spa.
