Sandals Mobay or Royal Caribbean

I need some help. My wife and I booked a week in July for Sandals Royal Caribbean, however when we got our documents it has us going to Sandals Mobay. We are both in our late 30's and is wondering if we would fit in at Sandals Mobay or we should have them changed it to the Royal Carib. Any help would be appreciated.

Looked at Sandals RC last August. Thought it was overpriced for what they offered. Have seen many negative reports on Sandals resorts on this board.

sorry i can't give you much first hand experience. we chose to go to negril, but based upon what i know of the sandals chain and pricing structures from my research, i would complain. you paid for royal carib, so you should get royal carib. i believe that royal carib is nicer and caters to a more mature crowd. sandals mo bay is more for the partying mid to late 20-somethings.

Well I am a big promoter of any Sandals. I think they provide great value for the money, and I have stayed at all of them in Jamaica. I prefer Negril, but RC is quite nice. You will not go wrong with any Sandals. The rooms are top notch, the food excellent, the drinks very well done, and the staff outstanding. I love Sandals and spend at least 2 weeks at a Sandals every year. Enjoy!

The two resorts are pretty different so really does depend on what you are looking for.

Royal is quieter, more intimate, relaxing, great island (especially during the day as not alot of people go out there), nice pools and beautiful gardens.

MoBay has a far larger beach (largest private beach in Jamaica), not so great pools (very small), alot more active and party like. Planes flying so close overhead do bother some - they ar not a problem at Royal.

Both have true beach front rooms, great food and service. It really all depends. For us, we would return to Royal but not MoBay - great fun and met tons fo wondreful people but like it more laid back.

Thanks for all your reply folks. I am going to have them change us to Royal.
