Sandals MoBay

I am going to SAndals MoBay in May. We have a President's Suite with the butler. I am wondering if anyone out there has stayed in a similar suite or experienced the butler service? Also -- tipping -- there seems to be some disagreement - tip or no tip-?

Sorry I can't help with that room type, but you will enjoy the resort. The big sky at night is wonderful sitting down by the beach. The bartenders are the best in the Caribbean and the blue mountain coffee starts the day out right. As far as tipping - it is included. Whether you choose to tip extra really is up to you. We did. The island is beautiful but pennies aren't raining down from the heavens to the residents.

When did you visit the Sandals Montego Bay Resort?

I haven't been to Sandals in about 20 years but I understand from reading other boards that you don't tip in general but you DO tip your butler.

Hope that helps...chris-n-cheryl.com has a very busy board for AI resort questions, you might check there.

Ivang - I was just at Sandals in Ocho Rios, and we had a villa with butler service. I don't know if MoBay is the same, but there was a letter in our room that said that although tipping is included for everyone else, Sandals had "relaxed it's 'no tipping' policy" for the butlers. So, we tipped them.

If your suite is like our villas, they were great. Big rooms, stocked refrigerators, porches and private plunge pools, etc. Very cool.

Have a great time!
